On 2nd April 2026 the Council of Ministers of the Federal Government of Somalia, at its weekly meeting held today, approved a number of bills, international treaties and protocols, and government regulations aimed at strengthening state institutions, enhancing cooperation, and promoting national development. These include:
Domestic Instruments
- The Bill on the Somali Airports Authority
- The National Policy on the Protection of Civilians during Military Operations and Armed Conflicts
- The Bill on Combating Human Smuggling and Trafficking in Persons
- The Regulation on the Labour Law for Foreign Affairs.
- A Resolution on the Implementation of an Open Competitive Bidding System
International Instruments
- The Convention for the Suppression of Unlawful Acts against the Safety of Maritime Navigation
- The 1992 Protocol to the Civil Liability Convention
- A Memorandum of Understanding between the Governments of Somalia and Spain on Political Consultations
